This project was designed and built by Kendall Taylor and his family and friends. The house received an NSAA Award of Merit in 1999. The house takes advantage of passive solar heating and the main post and beam frame was cut from the trees that were once standing where the house was built. Natural and durable materials were chosen where possible and the house has been located to maximize the preservation of the surrounding habitat.
