Mark Twain called Anne of Green Gables, “ The sweetest creation of child life yet written.” He sent the author L.M. Montgomery a letter of praise, congratulating her on her writing. This was over one hundred years ago and ever since, the story of Anne has captured the imaginations of people from all over the world.
In the words of L.M. Montgomery herself, “ It’s delightful when your imaginations come true, isn’t it? “ This famous phrase certainly captures the feeling all creative people feel when experiencing three years of work come to fruition.
The Building is pursuing LEED Gold and special attention has been paid to the use of local materials. The building will be 100% powered by Renewable Energy through a combination of Photovoltaic panels on the roof and Green Power purchasing. Overall heating/cooling is being reduced by 41% and natural daylighting is used throughout.
